Seeing Red Limited (“RED“) confirms that they will undertake to preserve the privacy of the information that it is necessary for them to collate on you in order to deal with your enquiry or case. Please read the following privacy policy to understand how RED use and protect the information that you provide to them.

Data Protection

To enable RED to identify you when you log on to the website and to allow them to deal with your enquiry quickly and efficiently and to keep you updated as to any developments, RED may require the following information: your full name, address, telephone number, email address, occupation. These are your personal identification details “PI details”. RED confirms that all such information collected by them is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 as may be amended. It is important that you keep RED updated as to any changes in your PI details to ensure that our records are correct.

Enquiry Reference Number

As soon as your claim has been submitted you will be given an individual “Enquiry Reference Number”. You will require this number each time you sign-in to the Website. You will then be able to track the progress of your application or enquiry and to alter your personal identification details if necessary.

It is imperative that your sign-in details are kept secure and you should not reveal them to any third party. RED will never request your sign-in details via email and if you receive any emails asking you for such details, you should contact RED immediately on 01282 83 55 77.

Regulation of Personal Identification Details

RED is the data controller of your PI details and is bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. Red will use your PI details to improve the customer services that we provide you with, to keep you updated as to important changes to the Website, to provide you with information about new services and products statistical analysis, marketing, security vetting, profiling your preferences. We will disclose your information to our service providers and agents for these purposes but only information that is relevant to the provision of those services will be disclosed and the third parties will maintain the privacy of the information provided to them. If RED provides third parties with statistics in relation to matters such as sales or access to the Website, this information will not include any PI details.

Your personal identification details will only be exchanged with other third parties, such as our business associates, with your permission. It may be necessary to provide your PI details to these parties to enable us to process your application, or to enable us to make decisions on insurance proposals, credit references and financial risk assessments. Please be aware, however, that in certain circumstances RED may be obliged by law to disclose your PI details without your permission for example to comply with money laundering regulations and to prevent fraud.

Occasionally RED may need to request information from you, or another party to your application, such as your religion, physical and mental health, or trade union membership but will only do so if it is essential to process your application. If you are asked to provide such information about another party, you must first obtain their consent before disclosing such information to RED.

Consent

RED may use your PI details to contact you either by post, email or telephone for marketing purposes, unless you specifically advise RED that you do not consent to the use of your PI details for this purpose. RED may use your PI details to contact you by electronic means such as email and fax, but only with your consent.

You automatically consent to receive marketing emails and other electronic communications when you sign up for the newsletter “Red Letter” but you will be able to de-subscribe by following a hyperlink.

Cookies

Cookies are small amounts of information which we store on your computer. Unless you have indicated your objection when disclosing your details to us, our system will issue cookies to your computer when you log on to the Website. You can gain access to your PI details by signing in to the Website using your ‘Enquiry Reference Number'. You will be able to then track your claim and edit your PI details. You are entitled to receive a copy of your personal information retained by RED on payment of a nominal fee to cover our costs in providing you with the details.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

Any changes to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this Website and, if any material changes are made, a legal notice will be placed on the home page or, where appropriate, you will be notified through email.
